Lory Ginedumont is a French artist, born in 1963. After her studies at the Sorbonne, she left Paris for a journey to Italy where she graduated at the Ligurian Fine Arts Academy of Genoa. In 1999, following the meeting with the art critic Pierre Restany, she dedicated herself exclusively to the artistic creative work. The main object of her research is her personal life experience. To achieve this, she uses a wide variety of media such as photography, video, installation, textile sculpture, drawing and writing. The nature of her research into art moves around the themes of absence, disappearance and in particular mourning, subject of the installation "Dans mon lit" performed between 2013 and 2014. The artist is director of her videos and observer in the representation of her own innermost. Narrator but also actor of the narration, photographer and subject of photography. She lives and works both in France and Italy. Her works have been exhibited in various galleries and public institutions in Italy and abroad. Since January 2018 she collaborates with Sharevolution gallery in Genoa Italy.
